Lauren Opila

Lauren joined Midwest Orthopaedics at Rush in the summer of 2011. She currently serves as physician assistant to Dr. Scott Sporer, specializing in adult hip and knee replacement and reconstruction. Her main responsibilities include assisting in surgeries, seeing patients in clinic and rounding on inpatients.

She grew up in the northwest suburbs of Chicago and also has experience as an EMT. As a student, she spent time in orthopedics, emergency medicine, pediatrics, internal medicine, family medicine, general surgery, obstetrics and gynecology and cardiac surgery.
